We use cookies for the following purposes

  • Technical functionality on the website so that we can improve usability and remember your preferences.

  • Traffic measurement, so we know how many people visit our site.

  • Ad execution so we can control how often the same ad is shown to the same user and record how many people click on it.

  • Behavioral advertising so we can show you the ads that we suspect are most relevant to you.

What are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive and that store certain settings and information for exchange with our system through your browser. You basically distinguish between two different types of cookies: so-called session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser. And temporary/permanent cookies that are stored for an extended period or unlimited on your hard drive.

This storage helps us design our web pages and our offers for you accordingly, and facilitates your use, as e.g., certain entries from you are stored so that you do not have to repeat them all the time. There is no personal information stored in our cookies and it cannot contain viruses.

What cookies do we use?

Most of the cookies we use are automatically deleted again after the end of your browser session (hence the name session cookies).

Session cookies are necessary in order, for example, to offer you the Shopping Cart feature across multiple pages. In addition, we also use cookies that remain on your hard drive. Thus, on a further visit, it is automatically identified that you have already been with us and which loadings and settings you prefer. These temporary or even permanent cookies (lifetime from 1 month and up to 1 year) are stored on your hard drive and deleted by themselves after the set time. These cookies are used to make our offer more user-friendly, efficient, and secure. The only purpose of these cookies is to adapt our offers to your customer wishes in the best possible way and to make it as comfortable as possible for you to surf the web with us.

Why do we use cookies?

This website uses cookies for the following purposes:

Technical Cookies. These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled on our systems. They are usually activated in response to actions you have taken that result in a request for services, e.g., setting your privacy preferences, logging in, filling out forms or are strictly necessary to analyze our website use and functioning. Technical cookies do not rely on consent according to the law, as they are necessary for the performance of our services.

Analytical cookies. These cookies complete the strictly necessary cookies to better understand the user's interaction with our website.

Functional cookies. These cookies allow for improved functionality and customization. They may be set by us or by external providers whose services are integrated into our pages. If you do not allow these cookies, some or all these features may not work properly.

Advertisement cookies. These cookies are installed by our advertising partners through our website. These companies may use them to profile your interests and display relevant ads on other websites. They work by assigning a unique identifier to your browser and device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will not see our advertisements specific to you on other websites because of these cookies.

If we use the purposes categories defined by the IAB Europe (the European-level digital marketing association), we will also define them transparently in the Consent Management Platform (CMP).

What information is stored in cookies?

Cookies used by TrippboPlus only pseudonymous information. When activating a cookie, this is assigned an identification number, and an assignment of your personal data to this identification number is not made.

Your name, IP address or similar data, which could allow a direct adjustment of this cookie to you, will not be inserted into this cookie. Based on cookie technology, we only receive pseudonymized information, for example about which pages are visited in our shop, what products are seen, etc.

Cookies from third-party cookies?

TrippboPlus serves individual ad partners who help design the Internet offering and web pages to be more interesting to you. Therefore, when visiting the web pages, cookies from partner companies are also stored on your hard drive.

These are temporary/permanent cookies that are automatically deleted from your hard drive after the end of their life (from 14 days up to 1 year). Cookies from our partner companies also contain only pseudonyms, and mostly even anonymous, data.

This is, for example, data for which hotels you have looked at or purchased. And here, some of our ad partners also record information via the web pages about which pages you have visited before or which products you have, for example, been interested in, to show you the advertising that best corresponds to your interests.

Retargeting

Our web pages use so-called retargeting technologies to design the Internet offering so that it is more interesting to you.

This technique makes it possible to approach users who have already taken an interest in our hotels and destinations with advertising on our partners' websites. The display of these advertising funds on our partners' pages takes place based on a cookie technology and an analysis of the previous user behavior. This kind of advertising takes place in a completely pseudonymous form.

When using our site, cookies are inserted, and thus information about you is collected, stored, and used. Furthermore, your information is stored in cookies after the end of your browsing session and can be retrieved again on your next visit to the web pages.

To avoid or delete cookies

In your browser, you can set cookies to be accepted only if you consent to them, thus preventing further insertion of cookies in the future. If you only want to accept cookies from TrippboPlus, but not cookies from our service providers and partners, you can select the "Block cookies from third-party providers" option in your browser. As a rule, in the menu bar of your web browser, you can see through the helper how to reject new cookies and disconnect cookies that have already been received.

You can also follow the instructions here.

Google Analytics (traffic measurement and web analytics)

TrippboPlus uses cookies from Google (Universal) Analytics of Google Inc. to measure the traffic and usage of our website.

You can opt out of cookies from Google Analytics here.

Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a server at Google in the United States and shortened there. The anonymized IP address sent from your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be aggregated with other data at Google.
