TRIPPBO — TERMS & CONDITIONS

Legal review draft | Prepared 14 October 2026 | NOT FOR PUBLICATION UNTIL ITEMS MARKED [REQUIRES CONFIRMATION] ARE RESOLVED

These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern access to the Trippbo website at https://social.trippbo.com/ (the “Platform”), its free social and trip-planning functions, and accommodation booking services offered through it. They also apply to a Trippbo mobile application only after that application is made available and the Terms are properly presented to users. Please read the relevant accommodation rules before making a booking.

1. The operator and contact details

The Platform is operated by Trippbo OÜ, registry code 17187333, registered address Järvevana tee 9, 11314 Tallinn, Estonia (“Trippbo”, “we”, “us”). General support and privacy enquiries: info@trippbo.com. [REQUIRES CONFIRMATION: additional mandatory business disclosures, VAT registration details where applicable, and the customer-support method actually monitored for booking complaints.]

2. Services currently covered

The Platform offers free account-based social travel functions, including profile settings, travel memories, trip information, posting images and content, following users, liking, commenting, sharing and reporting content, and searching for and booking hotel accommodation through Trippbo’s checkout. Accommodation availability is sourced through third-party hotel reservation suppliers and distribution networks, while accommodation is delivered by the relevant hotel or accommodation provider. The services described on-screen may change, and not all hotels or offers are available in every destination.

Not presently offered as operational services: flight booking, vehicle rental, passenger transfers, private messaging and the sale of the physical Trippbo Frame product. References to planned functions or products are informational and do not constitute an offer to supply them. Separate or updated terms will be presented if those functions launch.

3. Eligibility and age requirements

Users must be at least 16 years old to create and use a social account. Only persons aged 18 or older may place or pay for accommodation bookings through Trippbo, and they must have the legal capacity to enter the relevant transaction. A booker must accurately identify all guests and comply with any stricter minimum age, guardian, check-in or identification requirements disclosed by the accommodation provider. Children may be named as guests in a booking made by an eligible adult.

Age-compliance notice: the age requirement is contractual; it should not be interpreted as a representation that the booking interface automatically blocks every attempted booking by a minor. The rights and legal capacity of minors are determined by applicable law. We may request reasonable age or identity verification when lawfully necessary, using proportionate safeguards.

4. Registration, security and account communications

Registration currently uses an email address, password, date of birth for eligibility checking, and requested profile information. You must give accurate information, safeguard login credentials, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorised activity. We may contact you about security, your account, booking confirmations, changes, cancellations, refunds and moderation decisions. These operational messages are not optional marketing newsletters. Creating an account does not require consent to marketing emails.

We may impose proportionate account limitations if reasonably necessary to address fraud, security threats, illegal content or serious breaches of these Terms, subject to applicable law, explanation and review procedures described below.

5. Profiles, visibility and sharing choices

Social content is Private by default when created. An account holder may choose to make specific photographs, memories or trip information Public, which means available to other registered Trippbo users—not automatically available to the wider internet. Other audience controls, including follower-based or private-account restrictions, apply where offered and as explained in the interface. The default visibility of a user’s username, profile picture and city/country is visible to other signed-in users; the bio is hidden by default. Users may change available profile visibility settings.

Please consider the privacy of other travellers before disclosing their identities, photographs, travel dates or locations. Screenshots and copies made by permitted viewers cannot always be recalled after content has been shared. Trippbo will not treat the choice “Public within Trippbo” as permission to use a user’s content in external advertising.

6. User content: ownership and limited licence

You retain ownership of your original photographs, videos, posts, comments and other materials (“User Content”). By uploading content, you grant Trippbo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, technically reproduce, resize, display and transmit that content only as reasonably necessary to operate the Platform and provide the sharing options you select. This licence does not authorise unrelated advertising outside the Platform. It normally ends when content is deleted, subject to lawful retention, necessary technical deletion cycles, and rights already exercised by other users within the limits of applicable law.

You must have the necessary rights or lawful permissions for content you upload and must not infringe privacy, intellectual-property or other legal rights. Do not upload sensitive images, children’s data, documents or information about others without a lawful justification.

7. Community rules and prohibited conduct

You may not use the Platform for unlawful threats, hate or discriminatory abuse prohibited by law, harassment, impersonation, scams, infringement of rights, sexual exploitation, illegal sales, malware, unauthorised collection of personal data, or attempts to circumvent access controls. You must not share other people’s private content without authorisation, falsely report content in bad faith, or artificially manipulate engagement or listings. Reporting a concern does not guarantee removal; reports are assessed against law and these Terms.

8. Reporting, moderation and appeals

You may report content or users using the reporting function. Trippbo’s authorised administrators review reports and may take appropriate action, including dismissing the report, restricting content visibility, removing content, warning users or temporarily suspending accounts, according to the nature and severity of the issue. When legally required, affected users receive a statement of reasons, including available review or redress options. We retain appropriate moderation audit records.

An appeal mechanism is available through the Platform following its deployment. Affected users can request review of an eligible moderation decision; suspended users may request review via info@trippbo.com where the in-account method cannot be accessed. A different authorised reviewer may assess the original decision where practicable. We will not guarantee a particular outcome or create an unreasonably short complaint deadline. Any mandatory rights under the EU Digital Services Act (“DSA”), including access to qualifying notice mechanisms and redress channels, remain unaffected. [REQUIRES CONFIRMATION: public-facing moderation appeal entry point, actual review deadlines, DSA classification and exemptions.]

9. Hotel search, third-party suppliers and contractual roles

Trippbo displays accommodation options sourced through third-party hotel reservation suppliers and networks and processes the customer-facing booking and payment within its Platform. The hotel or accommodation establishment delivers the stay and applies the property rules identified for the specific booking. The identity of the legal seller/contracting accommodation party, Trippbo’s contractual capacity for each inventory channel, and any agency relationship must be explicitly disclosed at checkout and in the confirmation. [REQUIRES CONFIRMATION: precise contractual seller/agent allocation under supplier agreements and applicable consumer law.]

Trippbo remains responsible for its own booking, payment, customer-service and other obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded, irrespective of whether accommodation is supplied by a third party. No wording here removes rights a consumer has against Trippbo or an accommodation provider under mandatory law.

10. Search results, rankings, reviews and advertisements

Searches may be ordered or filtered by factors displayed in the interface, including destination, dates, price, availability, ratings or relevant features. The main parameters determining default ranking, the extent to which payments influence ranking, the trader status of providers and the basis of review authenticity will be explained wherever required by applicable consumer law. Sponsored placements must be clearly identified when they exist. [REQUIRES CONFIRMATION: actual ranking parameters, paid placement, review verification methodology and trader-status disclosures.]

11. Booking information, prices and currencies

Before the customer commits to payment, Trippbo presents the accommodation, number of rooms and guests, stay dates, inclusion and exclusion details, applicable cancellation terms, payment currency, final price and any mandatory taxes or additional charges known and required to be disclosed. If a local fee must be paid at the property, it will be identified as clearly as the available information permits and consistent with mandatory total-price disclosure rules.

The user can select among supported currencies. The customer is charged in the selected checkout currency as shown in the final confirmation. A bank or card issuer may apply its own conversion when the customer’s card account currency differs. Trippbo will not impose an undisclosed currency conversion charge. Prices and availability may change before a booking is accepted, but not retroactively without a lawful basis.

12. Booking steps and confirmation

A booking request is submitted through the checkout and is confirmed only when Trippbo issues an identifiable confirmation showing the agreed accommodation, dates, guest details, amount, payment currency and applicable cancellation terms. Trippbo records a transaction snapshot at confirmation including the price, currency and cancellation policy. If payment is authorised but a booking cannot be confirmed, Trippbo will promptly investigate and reverse or refund any amount collected as required by law and the payment method’s procedures. If there is a discrepancy, contact support immediately.

13. Traveller information and requests

The booker must provide the name of every guest, the ages of children where requested, and accurate contact and reservation information. The booker must be authorised to provide other guests’ data and should tell them that their details will be shared with the booking suppliers and hotel to deliver the stay, as explained in the Privacy Policy. The Platform does not ordinarily request passport numbers or copies of identity documents during the booking flow; a hotel may independently ask for identification at check-in subject to local law. Special requests are not guaranteed unless confirmed by the accommodation provider.

14. Payments and payment security

Trippbo collects accommodation booking payments in its own checkout and settles with the relevant hotel reservation supplier. Card payment entry uses Stripe Elements with PaymentIntents. Stripe processes payment credentials under its applicable terms and privacy notices. Trippbo records payment status, relevant transaction identifiers and limited payment information needed for accounting, fulfilment, refunds and disputes. We do not represent that every part of our technical estate has been independently audited for payment-card processing. Any additional cardholder verification or Strong Customer Authentication will be carried out where required.

15. Cancellation conditions and no-shows

The specific cancellation and amendment rules displayed for the selected accommodation/rate before payment and preserved in the booking confirmation govern the commercial cancellation terms, subject always to mandatory consumer rights. Some bookings permit free cancellation until a specified deadline; others may be non-refundable or charge a stated cancellation fee. Deadlines must identify the applicable time zone. A failure to arrive may trigger the disclosed no-show terms. Where an accommodation has been booked for specific dates, the general 14-day withdrawal right may not apply under applicable European consumer legislation, but other statutory remedies remain available.

Trippbo receives and processes cancellation requests and coordinates cancellation with the reservation supplier. A request is not necessarily a confirmed cancellation until the process returns a confirmation; if urgent, contact support and retain proof of the request. If the provider cancels, cannot honour the booking, or the accommodation materially differs from the contract, remedies are determined by the relevant law and allocation of responsibility, not solely by a “non-refundable” label.

16. Refunds and refunds in different currencies

For an eligible refund, Trippbo generally processes it within 7–14 business days after the cancellation is confirmed and the refund is approved, unless applicable law requires an earlier refund. We issue refunds through the original payment route where practicable. After we initiate the refund, the bank/card issuer may require additional time to post it. Refunds are processed in the applicable original payment currency unless a different lawful arrangement is clearly agreed; exchange-rate movements and independent issuer fees may alter the amount displayed in another currency. We will communicate the outcome and any lawful deduction.

17. Obvious errors and technical failures

If there is a genuinely obvious pricing or availability error, we will assess it fairly and notify the customer promptly. We will not unilaterally substitute a higher price for a confirmed booking. Any correction, proposed alternative or cancellation will comply with applicable contract and consumer law, and any refund due will be processed without undue delay. Technical interruptions do not remove non-excludable consumer remedies.

18. Complaints, disputes and chargebacks

Please report accommodation issues promptly to the hotel and Trippbo so we can investigate and assist. For booking, billing and refund disputes, contact info@trippbo.com with the confirmation reference and a description of the issue. You may also exercise a lawful chargeback or bank-dispute right without first obtaining Trippbo’s permission. We may respond with accurate booking, transaction, cancellation and communication evidence, using only data reasonably necessary for that purpose.

Where legally required, we will identify any relevant alternative dispute resolution (“ADR”) body or information about competent consumer authorities. The former EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 and is not offered as a complaint channel. [REQUIRES CONFIRMATION: Trippbo’s legally required ADR participation/disclosure position under Estonian law.]

19. Content removal, account deletion and retention

Users can delete their account using the available account controls. Account deletion initiates removal of the associated social account, posts, comments, memories and media according to Trippbo’s deletion processes, subject to lawful technical handling of pending deletion jobs and any residual lawful retention. Financial records, booking documentation and other information that law requires us to preserve may remain separately retained after account deletion. Deleting an account does not by itself cancel an active hotel booking; contact support regarding pending travel and refunds. Our Privacy Policy describes the applicable retention and rights-request procedures.

20. Intellectual property of the Platform

The Platform software, design, trademarks, editorial materials and other original Trippbo assets are owned by or licensed to Trippbo and protected by law. Apart from rights expressly granted to use the service, no intellectual-property ownership transfers to users. This clause does not alter users’ ownership of their User Content or lawful exceptions such as quotation or other uses permitted by applicable law.

21. Service availability, security and lawful use

We take reasonable steps to maintain the Platform and protect its operation but cannot promise uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, fix vulnerabilities and restrict abuse with proportionate measures. You must not bypass authentication or access private media that has not been shared with you. We are not liable for disruption beyond our reasonable control except to the extent mandatory law imposes responsibility.

22. Liability and consumer safeguards

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability for fraud, intentional wrongdoing, death or personal injury to the extent non-excludable, or any mandatory consumer right or legal remedy. Our responsibility for our own actions and omissions is determined under applicable law. Where legally permissible, neither party is liable for losses that are not a reasonably foreseeable consequence of its breach; this does not prevent recovery otherwise required by law. We do not apply a blanket cap equal to the amount of a booking where that would be unfair or unlawful.

23. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for legal, security, operational or service reasons. We will post a new version and, for material changes affecting existing users’ rights or obligations, give appropriate advance notice and any choice required by law. Changes will not retrospectively deprive customers of rights attaching to already-confirmed bookings or override the terms agreed at the time of the booking without an applicable legal basis.

24. Applicable law and courts

Estonian law governs these Terms, without depriving consumers habitually resident elsewhere of protections they cannot waive under applicable conflict-of-laws and consumer rules. Mandatory jurisdiction rules remain applicable; this clause does not force consumers to bring all claims exclusively in Estonia where the law grants another forum.

25. Privacy, language and contact

Our Privacy Policy (https://social.trippbo.com/privacy/) explains personal-data processing, and our Cookie Policy (https://social.trippbo.com/cookies/) explains technologies and choices. Translations should convey the same material rights; any precedence clause will apply only insofar as permitted by mandatory local law. Questions or complaints: info@trippbo.com.
